Trabalho de Inglês - THE BOATING PARTY

Aqui está o trabalho de inglês:

The Boating Party
1893-94
Mary Cassatt
National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.

The feelings that the people show are happiness and concentration. The woman is happy, strolling with her son. But the man is concentrated to row the boat.

In the picture the blue is maybe the biggest colour because the river. After comes the yellow because the boat. This is a monotone picture because is sitting in a river. I think that the place of the picture is in Greece because the dimension of the river. It is not raining, so it’s a good day to stroll in a boat. This picture hasn’t darkness so I can say that the light is biggest. Good day to a boating party, isn’t it?

A man! A bad man. This is the story of a man called Katsury who lived in Atenas. Was in 1893. He was a bad man because he killed very people, animals, and infants too! But, one girl loves him. Why? I don’t know too. Now, we are going to return to the year 1893.

- Katsury is going to have an excursion to Africa tomorrow – said Katsury’s mother.
- Yes madame. I will prepare everything. Excuse me. – said Alfredo.
Suddenly, Katsury entered in the room.
- Oh! Good Morning Mr. Katsury! I will prepare your things to the excursion tomorrow. Do you need something? – questioned Alfredo.
- No, thank you. But tell me one thing Alfredo, why you said that you will prepare my things? It should be already prepared.
- Sorry Mr. Katsury. – said Alfredo downing.

Alfredo don’t like neither Mr. Katsury nor his attitudes, but Mr. Katsury pays very well to Alfredo. Alfredo isn’t rich, so this job is very important to him. When Alfredo arrived at the 1st floor, he saw Mrs. Catherine, a lady who loves Mr. Katsury. I have one question. If Mr. Katsury kills people and animals, why Mrs. Catherine loves him?

- Hi Alfredo. Where is Katsury?
- Hello Mrs. Catherine! He’s in his room. – said Alfredo
- Thank you.
- You’re welcome.

In Mr. Katsury’s room, Mrs. Catherine entered.

- Hello everybody. – said Mrs. Catherine – Katsury tomorrow I will go to the excursion with you.
- Ohh! Why you are so boring? But okay.

In the excursion:

- It’s a beautiful day. The sun is shining. – said Mrs. Catherine.
- Yes, it is. But I don’t like that.
- Oh, look that. Elephants. So dirty. But beautiful.
- Yeah, the elephant was beautiful.
- Why you said “was”? He’s alive.
- No, it isn’t.

Suddenly, the people of the boat, went out and killed the elephant.

- Oh my god! What is that? Why they killed the poor elephant?
- I said to him. – said Katsury.
- Really? Oh, you are so bad to animals.

The excursion continued, and later they saw an African community. Just like to the elephant, the people of the boat went out and killed the community.

- I love you my people. – said Katsury.
- Oh no, I don’t believe what I’m seeing. You are like a serial killer. – said Mrs. Catherine.
- Do you have any problem? If you have, go out!
- If it was one week ago, I would, but I have one thing to tell you.
- Oh, what is it my darling?
- I am pregnant.
- What? I don’t eared very well. Repeat please. – said Katsury
- I’m pregnant.
- Oh no, and now? What we are going to do? Kill him?
- Are you crazy? Of course not! I will take care of him.
- No!
- This is what I am going to do. Take care of him.

The discussion didn’t stopped and nine months later Mrs. Catherine had a child called Francisco. When he arrived home, Mr. Katsury made a long smile, but false.
In the next night he tried to kill the child but he couldn’t because Alfredo and Katsury’s mother stopped him because they suspected this attitude. Katsury called his men to help him.
Alfredo went to the quay and pushed a boat. Mrs. Catherine followed him and they escaped. Katsury and his men arrived to the quay but hadn’t any boat. Mrs. Catherine looked forwards and said to Katsury, crying:

- Our son is smart. One day, he will kill you!
